Does Fusion Head Gasket Sealer really work?
Hi, has anyone tried Fusion to seal their head gasket leak? I just got a head gasket leak in my Subaru Outback and I don’t have the money to get the gasket replaced by a mechanic. From what I read off their site, it sounds like it could get the job done, they even have a specific formula made for my engine so I’m guessing this happens to a lot Subaru’s.
Subaru Head Gasket Problems
Supposedly it works for like 6 years, which kinda sounds insane but im just trying to figure out if it even works or not.

Re: Does Fusion Head Gasket Sealer really work?
Long story short, yes. After blowing my head gasket, I asked my mechanic what my options were to get it fixed. He said that usually they have to replace the whole gasket which isn’t an expensive part, the labor is what costs so much. After an appraisal of $2000 to get the gasket replaced, I looked online for a cheaper solution and found Fusion. I was kinda desperate since I would rather do anything than have to pay $2000 for something that wasn’t even my fault. They had a good warranty and they also had alot of helpful information on there website. I purchased the Subaru sealer and got it in two days. I followed the instructions and IT ACTUALLY WORKED. The white smoke from my tail pipe eventually stopped after about 30 miles of driving around. Anyway, that was 3 years ago. So, I suspect it’ll last a while.

Re: Does Fusion Head Gasket Sealer really work?
My Subaru Forester’s head gasket was almost beyond repair according to my mechanic. He said I should try Fusion since it’s the only sealer that ever worked for him. A few days later, my mechanic said the whole job will only cost $300 which is great because if I didn’t go with a sealer it would’ve costed $1400 to have the gasket replaced. After he got the job done he said the Fusion re-sealed the gasket with no problems. That was back in 2011 and I haven’t seen any symptoms of a blown gasket.
