Is Fusion Worth it?
Help! I drive a 2005 Cadillac DTS and I have white smoke blowing out of my tail pipe. When I noticed this I took it to my mechanic cause I didn’t know what to do. He said it would cost around 1200 dollars to fix. I don’t currently have the money to pay to get this done so I did research online and found out that according to reviews, Fusion sealer works well. Do you guys think I should order their stuff or try someone elses?
Re: Is Fusion Worth it?
I own an ‘02 Cadillac DTS and I have had its head gasket blown as well. When mine happened, my mechanic suggested Fusion right off the bat. He said that most people don’t want to pay the expensive labor costs so he just suggests fusion as soon as he confirms a head gasket problem. He also said that hes tried 4 other sealer companies on his customers cars and fusion works the best. When my DTS came out of the repair shop, it was like it never had any problems to begin with. Instead of having to pay 1600 bucks to get my gasket replaced, my mechanic got my head gasket re-sealed for 200 bucks. I’d also go with fusion cause they also have good customer service, unlike most other sealer companies. -Krypto
Re: Is Fusion Worth it?
Thanks a lot for your reply Krypto. From what I read online, fusion looked like it was the best option so thanks for confirming that for me. I’ll order their Northstar head gasket repair kit and update you on how it goes. I got a good feeling about it.

Re: Is Fusion Worth it?
My Subaru outback had bad overheating and white smoke from the tail pipe. I did the same as you krypto , took it to the mechanic, said it was a blown head, and I wasn’t a fan of the price so I looked online for a cheaper substitute. After reading a ton of reviews, I decided to go with fusion cause a lot of the other companies have bad reviews and I have yet to find a bad review of fusion sealers. Their subaru kit worked perfectly for my outback. Incase you were still on the fence, go with the fusion.
Re: Is Fusion Worth it?
Hey thanks again for all the replys. As I thought, the Fusion Northstar kit worked with no problems as I followed the instructions. I went back to my mechanic and told him about fusion so that he could suggest it to his future customers. I also wrote a review for fusion to them to help them with their future cutomers.
Glad it worked out great for you Rock, It only took about 3 hours for my mechanic to get it done. Im curious as to how long it took for you to do your repair by yourself. -Krypto
hey I was wondering if fusion comes with better instructions in the box. I read their instructions off their website but I don’t feel they go in depth enough for me to do the repair myself.
Yes notnice, better instructions do come in the box. They are detailed enough for pretty much anyone to be able to get the repair done themselves. I didn’t really know this until after the fact so I had to pay an extra 100 bucks in labor for my mechanic to do the repair.
